This playful piece was inspired by my own childhood memories of art classes with an eccentric art teacher. He was loud and would stand on tables when he got excited about a child’s idea, how we all longed for him to stand up for one of our ideas. I’ve never forgotten the excitement that art class would bring to the day and I wanted to express that in this painting, this teacher had seldom rules for the classroom and this painting was painted without a single rule of how I desired it to turn out.
This piece is done on primed canvas, the materials used are acrylic paint, glitter and children’s toys are firmly glued to the painting.
